Justice Samuel Nelson, for the unanimous Court, noted that, under Article Three, the New Jersey circuit court's jurisdiction depended on two conjunctive propositions : first, that Jackalow's crime was not committed within any State; and second, that Jackalow was first apprehended in New Jersey.
